The Motown Show

Went to see this show on Friday night it was fantastic, loved it from start to finish. Had everyone dancing and singing along. The band was great, the singers brilliant and their moves amazing. I am sure everyone left with a smile on their face a great night out made us feel so happy. Lovely friendly guys, will definitely go again and again.

The Rat Pack

What a wonderful show from Frank, Dean Sammie the girls and the fabulous orchestra. We went to the matinee performance (although not very busy) had a superb afternoon, came out of show with the feel good factor and sang Volare all the way home.

Hi, Well I have to say we were all disappointed with this show. There is almost no set, hardly any orchestra, and no plot to speak of at all. The highlight of the night has to be Sue Pollard. Not the best singer, but wow can she put over a song! I certainly wouldn't rush out to buy tickets.

Paul Potts

I watched his first ever television appearance on 'Britain's Got Talent' with as much scepticism as everyone else (including the judges), until that is, he opened his mouth and I was lifted gently into the air and taken on a journey that left me both breathless and awestruck. I duly bought his album and have enjoyed it immensely. Last night however, I witnessed his (almost) full potential. This shy, unassuming superstar wooed his audience not only with his voice, but also his personality. He interspersed the magnificence of the music with amusing anecdotes of the 'real' Paul Potts. There are no airs and graces with this man, no pomposity to his music, just one enormous heart that filled the stage, spilling over onto the ever more adoring audience. The two (yes two) standing ovations he received were truly deserved. Yet strangely, he left the stage for the last time with such a strange look on his face; stunned, struggling to hold back his tears. I could see, for the first time that evening, his utter disbelief that all this is happening to him, Paul Potts, formerly of Carphone Warehouse and many other jobs - some which a person lesser than he may see as menial. The paths we choose are our own, his goal was simply to sing. Thank you Paul for the rough paths you strode in order hone your skill.

I cannot end this review however, without mentioning the magnificent Natasha Marsh, whose voice, choice of, and arrangement of her 4 pieces (both classical and modern) simply as stunning as her personality, beauty and dress sense. This is one lady whom I shall be following the career of with the greatest of interest.

Joseph 19/01/08 5pm

I have been to see many musicals but this has been the best yet. Craig was excellent as Joseph but Keith was outstanding and they even had a standing ovation. Well done to all involved and thank you for an excellent night. Good luck with the tour.

Joseph @ The Edinburgh Playhouse

We saw the show once before Christmas and again on 3rd Jan. The whole family really enjoyed it both times although either Craig was missing for the first one and Keith was off the second time. Chris Barton was outstanding as Joseph and really got to show his voice off as Narrator. We find it hard to believe he's sidelined as Benjamin for most of the time. Craig looks great in the loincloth and is very likeable but is otherwise rather insipid as Joseph, while Keith Jack has an incredible voice and is brilliant as Narrator. He dances a bit like a dad at a wedding though. The whole cast seemed to be really enjoying themselves and their enthusiasm was infectious. We loved it.

Joseph

Went to see Joseph last night and thought it was amazing. Haven't seen the show since the Philip Schofield era and forgot how enjoyable the show is!. This production was much better staged than the previous show I saw. Was a little disappointed that Keith wasn't playing the Narrator especially after all the reviews I had read but Craig Chalmers surprised me with how good he was. I hadn't seen the t.v show except for the final but Craig really shone especially during Close every Door. An Amazing Voice. Am glad to see from the reviews below that some ppl have seen the show with both Craig and Keith as so far I know no one who had seen both and was beginning to wonder! On the whole though a fantastic show and a great cast. The brothers are fantastic

Joseph / Matinee

This was one of the best Joseph's I have ever seen, my daughter of 10 has seen it twice before but for my five year old daughter this was her first time, she sat amazed and never moved a muscle, her face just staring at the stage the whole time, she completely understood the story, thanks to Keith's (Narrator) clear and perfected diction throughout. What a star!

We were disappointed a little it was announced that Craig Chalmers was not going to be Joseph (unwell they said) but I have to say Chris was a fantastic Joseph, what a great voice he has.

The whole cast were fantastic, they looked like they were really enjoying themselves and having fun and what a great experience for the children that got the opportunity to sing with them on the stage, I have a 10 and 5 year old now who would love to be in their position.

Management Response from Bryan Lewis - 4 Jan 2008
I wondered whether you and your children might like to meet the girls and boys in one of the choirs. As their Headmaster I am at the theatre almost every day and I know they would love to chat with your children, possibly at teatime between shows, and tell them all about their experience. That might inspire them to take up singing and acting. Pleaase respond by email if this is of interest, we could arrange a meeting before Saturday 19th when the show finally closes.

Regards

Bryan Lewis

Joseph

Received tickets as a Christmas present from my granddaughter and we enjoyed a fabulous evening at Joseph. The whole show was brilliant and was made even more special since both of the boys (Keith and Craig) are local lads and I followed their journey on the Joseph show from the very beginning. Once again thanks to the whole cast for a very enjoyable evening.
