As you can see from the picture, Drop Kick Murphys was formerly known as Bertie's. For many years this was a late night drinking establishment in the Old Town. Now as Drop Kick Murphys, this is the latest addition to Edinburghs Irish themed music bars.

This typically Irish pub has a great atmosphere at night when they have live bands. During the summer months it may be necessary to queue to get in, but, well worth it if you like Irish music. The floors and walls are all wood with a small raised area to one corner where the bands play.

Always busy on a weekend Robbie's attracts all types of drinkers, especially footie fans from the Hibernian stadium just around the corner.
