The Edinburgh Fringe Festival Programme

The Edinburgh Fringe Festival Programme
By Amanda 9th Jun 2008

The Edinburgh Festival Fringe Programme for 2008 is officially launched!  As is the way the Fringe is attracting the big hitters, and the up and coming stars. In the former category we have (deep breath) Clive James, Joan Rivers, Brit Ekland, Bill Bailey, Jimmy Carr, Jason Byrne, Ed Byrne, Ruby Wax, Simon Callow, Hazel O’Connor, Michael Barrymore, Jill Halfpenny, and Jim Bowen. As for the latter…well you’ll have to get hold of a copy of the programme and start deciding for yourselves.

There are many themes that pop up in the 2008 Fringe programme including Topical Issues; The American Dream; Technology and Communications in 21st Century; Pushing the Limits Of Space; Human Confinement; Aeroplanes and Celebrity.

Some of the interesting shows which fit within these themes include Deep Cut; Pornography; I Am Robert Mugabe; The Arab, The Jew and The Chicken; The Credit Crunch and Other Biscuits; Shut Up! Listen; and Beautiful People (Don't Travel Economy).

Programmes will be available from the Fringe shop on the High Street. For the rest of the country programme's are winging their way to you.   And don't forget you can pick up a Fringe 2008 programme at HMV and Fopp stores around the country. To find out other ways to get hold of the programme visit The Edinburgh Fringe website.
