Oxjam Edinburgh Launch Night

OXJAM, the UK’s biggest music festival, presents its South East Scotland launch event at The Hive, Edinburgh, on 27 November, 8pm-3am. The event will pave the way for hundreds of gigs, events and musical happenings across the country – all raising money and awareness for Oxfam.

Bands include FOUND, The Black Diamond Express, My Tiny Robots, Saint Jude’s Infirmary, Sorren Maclean, Thieves in Suits, The Wee Baby Jesuses, plus a fine selection of tunes from selected DJs, including those from Fast Punk Club.

Expect food stalls, a cocktail bar, competitions, special goodies, unexpected surprises, general silliness and the chance to find out if you have The Oxfactor!

Oxjam is a music festival with a difference. Each year thousands of music-lovers get involved, all across the UK, to make music, raise money and help end poverty. Oxjam will run from November 2008 until March 2009. Events supporting the launch event include Skinnyman at The Liquid Room, We Are Electric at Cabaret Voltaire (both 26 November) and Oxjazz at The Jazz Bar (27 November).
