We Are Electric - Wednesday 19th November 2008
This week's line-up: Main Room: Gary Mac : Wolfjazz, Room Two: Tall Paul. We Are...Electric is the creation of club-owner/promoter Sarah David, and DJs Gary Mac and Flix. The club was born in August of 2005 - it's primary aim to bring new and exciting underground European electronic dance music to Scotland's capital city.
Fast-forward to today, and the punk-funk electro-disco sound has found its way into the hearts and minds of countless midweek clubbers. The WA..E faithful are entertained each & every week by resident electro-punk and host Gary Mac, who plays the genre-mashing soundtrack to one of the livliest and up-for-it dancefloors in town, with help from various DJ friends from across the city. The emphasis is strictly on great music & dancing, & to provide a space where you can feel free to express yourself out on the floor & socialise with friends & strangers alike. This combination of a friendly atmosphere & quality music is what makes WA..E the club it is today, 3 years down the line.
On top of this, our mission is to bring to the club the cream of the dance music scene, to perform for your pleasure & delight. Producers, DJ's & live artists who have previously graced the WA..E stage include FC Kahuna, Felix Da Housecat, M.A.N.D.Y, Booke Sahde, Bryan Black, Andrew Weatherall, Padded Cell, Black Strobe, Basti (Tiefschwarz), Tommie Sunshine, Ewan Pearson, Damian Lazarus, Thomas Schumacher, Einzelkind, DJ T... and the list keeps growing and growing.
Free before midnight, £2 after midnight, Free all night long for members.
